The Engineering team is responsible for software from back-office tools that help our content editors create delightful content, manage users all the way up to providing a polished and tailored user experience to our clients. We work on feature upgrades as well as adding brand new functionality.

For example, we’re adding functionality such as advanced commenting and sharing capability so users can communicate across our platform. We also completed a project where we migrated our massive sets of data from on-site to AWS (S3). We’re working on migrating our search service (Mongo, Elastic Search, API Gateway, AWS, etc) to Node.js. These are just examples. With a wide range of projects both backend and frontend, we’ve got advanced projects that offer a growth path for ambitious developers who are willing to be part of our team and apply themselves.

Responsibilities:

● Design and develop automated solutions across several services and systems in a cross-functional, agile environment

● Build product test strategies, write and execute test plans, file bugs, and communicate with the team about issues, risk, and product quality

● Identify and execute on opportunities to improve the QA process and automation

● Help educate others in Engineering and Product on testing and QA; work with them to determine product quality goals and measurements

● Work with engineering and support to triage inbound bug reports and reproduce reported issues

● Expand our end-to-end automated test coverage

Requirements:

● Solid experience (2+ years) with test automation, and testing tools

● Hands-on experience in writing UI automation using Python, or JavaScript (Node.js preferred)

● Experience writing API tests in JavaScript is highly desired

● Comfortable writing detailed test plans and manual testing as a necessary step to effective automation tests

● Experience in automating build processes, application deployments and continuous integration systems like Jenkins

● Experience in testing frameworks: Cucumber/Selenium, Jasmine/Karma, Protractor

● Experience with CypressJS is a plus

● Experience working with and testing RESTful APIs

● You have at least 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance; 5+ years of experience strongly preferred

● You are passionate about the field of Quality Assurance and excited to grow and develop a career within QA

● You have a general facility with technology, and you are able to learn new technologies quickly

● Excellent communicator and collaborator
