About the Project:

• Develop a big data, big scale system that works with many micro-services to manage media buying for many products.
• Work in a great team, with a good and focused product.
• Many challenges and interesting implementations, integrations and users.
• Team of 3 developers is working in Agile-Scrum and is in a start-up mode looking to have a good and fast running product with quick dev cycles.
• Good business side understanding, to prioritize accordingly.
• Excited about solving complex performance optimization and data structure challenges.

Project team: 3 Java developers also based in Kyiv

Responsibilities:

• Design, engineer, and implement in data platforms
• Own and establish Engineering Frameworks for Big Data
• Being the proactive and technical point person for the data platform end to end.
• Lead by example coaching and mentoring those of your peers and mentoring less experienced team members.

Main requirements:

• 3+ years JAVA/Scala/Clojure development experience
• Solid Software developer foundations
• Good understanding of algorithms
• Parallel & Distributed computing
• Proficiency in Linux
• Exposure to DevOps
• AWS Experience
• Docker – an advantage
• Big Data Technologies such as Akka, Elasticsearch, Redis, Spark, Storm
• Scrum
• Good business side understanding, to prioritize accordingly
• Excited about solving complex performance optimization and data structure challenges
• Project manager – lead the team, accountable for meeting deadlines
• Curious about the latest technological trends
