Junior/Mid DevOps Engineer

We are searching for a junior or mid-level DevOps engineer to join our team.

About Us

We are a UK-based company, are looking for a Junior or Mid-level DevOps engineer.

We provide the latest technologies that allow transport operators to better understand the needs of their passengers. We have developed award-winning SaaS products such as Passenger Assist, enabling disabled rail passengers to request accessibility assistance and travel with confidence.

We’ve built an engineering team who are always respectful of each other, stop at nothing to produce great services and put in the time & effort to become the best engineers they can be. Our team works remotely, so staff do not need to be based at the company’s London headquarters.

 

About the Role

As a member of our DevOps team, you will:

• build & optimise our platforms

• maintain, support & monitor our production services

• plan & implement complex changes to live systems

We use a modern tech stack built primarily on AWS, managing resources via Terraform, and using Kubernetes to host our products. Releases to our platforms are managed using CircleCI.

 

About You

We are looking for someone with at least one year of commercial experience in a technical role (e.g. DevOps engineer, software developer, etc).

We expect you to:

• be passionate about technology

• actively participate to technical discussions

• positively contribute to Transreport’s culture

• be familiar with ◦ basic cloud computing concepts

• software development

• working in the command line

• Linux operating systems

• containerisation

 

Familiarity with the following technologies are not essential but would help a candidate’s application:

•  Kubernetes

•  infrastructure-as-code

•  CI pipelines

•  AWS services
