Senior Embedded Systems software engineer

Full-time, 8 hours/day. Approximately 4 hours per day (9:00 AM – 1:00 PM EDT, NY time zone, 16:00-20:00 GMT+3) need to overlap with the team. This is an independent contractor contract.

Our innovative device tracks your child’s development and provides answers to any baby-related questions, all in the most comfortable change pad ever designed.

Product: AI-powered change pad that serves as a smart hub for the nursery.
Purpose: To give parents peace of mind by tracking their child’s development and providing answers to baby-related questions.

Requirements

Mandatory Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in embedded systems development.
• Proficiency in ESP32 and RTOS (Real-Time Operating Systems).
• Strong expertise in C and C++ programming for embedded applications.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with IoT (Internet of Things) technologies.
• Experience in developing AI or machine-learning applications on embedded platforms.
• Knowledge of power management for low-power devices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks in a remote, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize embedded software for the AI-powered change pad.
• Work with ESP32 microcontrollers and RTOS to create efficient and robust systems.
• Design and implement software in C and C++ for embedded systems.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware components.
• Conduct code reviews, testing, and debugging to maintain software quality.
• Continuously improve system performance and reliability.
