About the company

We are an online company whose mission is to create relationships between beauty and cosmetics brands and consumers. We  give both large international brands and smaller niche brands the opportunity to market their products directly to a specific target group who are interested in their products. Every month, they send thousands of members a sample of products to us, after which the members test, rate and often repurchase the selected products.

We are looking for a Front End Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. 

As a member of Tech Team, you will bring a members-first mindset to developing our client’s subscription and eCommerce platform. You are comfortable sharing your knowledge with the team and working with a high level of autonomy. Your goal is to develop innovative solutions for the company that provide actual business value. 

What you’ll be doing:

• Developing, maintaining and improving the website customer experience
• Working with the product owner and stakeholders to understand and write requirements.
• Working independently and completing tasks like a flexible-self starter.
• Being responsible for design, development, test, and deployment of new features and services.
• Identifying areas of improvement and proactively implementing those with the team.
• Driving and engaging in your own competence development, as well as helping develop the team and your competence community.

Requirements:

*The following are a guide, and we would still love to hear from candidates with more or less experience. 

• Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML and modern CSS frameworks (styled-components)
• Experience with TypeScript, React, Next.js and modern CSS frameworks
• Experience with Headless CMS is preferred
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools
• Experience with REST APIs
• Professional-level written and spoken English communication skills
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment and communicate proactively with stakeholders

Bonus: 

• Experienced with mobile development
• Experienced with Python or PHP
