AWS Cloud/DevOps Engineer

A Director of Engineering of the US-based data engineering for healthcare (therapeutics) company with customers and revenue.

Client
They enable near-term patient impact by combining data and technology to change the development of clinical-stage therapeutics for neurodegenerative diseases, Parkinson’s especially.
They use clinical data, data modeling, and analytics to drive every aspect of drug development.
Use technology to democratize access to studies and medicines.
Use JS and Vue on frontend.
Use Scala.
Use Terraform, Jenkins, Postgres, and S3, Docker, ECS, Fargate.
Will be hiring more people in the near future.

Requirements
*Extensive experience in AWS and cloud-native deployments (AWS certification preferred)
*Strong experience delivering automated deployments of infrastructure as code utilizing  continuous integration best practices (e.g., Terraform, Jenkins)
*Experience with compliant data security methods (HIPAA preferred) 
*Strong experience with container-based deployments and architectures (e.g., Docker, ECS, Fargate)
*Proficiency building and working with relational and object databases (e.g., Postgres and S3 respectively)
*Experience with monitoring, alerting, and performance-based frameworks for services and applications in AWS (experience with New Relic or DataDog preferred)
