A product company seeks a Senior .NET Engineer (C#) to develop sports analytics system functionality.

For more than 3 years, we have organized sports tournaments and broadcasts and developed our sports community. We run 20+ thousand events per month in esports and traditional sports, involving more than 1000 athletes!
Our product sits at the intersection of technology and entertainment.
To remain a leader in our niche, we use data and develop software for our needs: tournament organization and management tools, analytics and our own CRM.

About the product:

A system with low latency and high performance, designed to process data in real time for sports analytics and calculate outcome probabilities in sports and esports competitions.
The system uses .NET Core and ASP.NET Core, with storage provided by MongoDB, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon RDS. The data bus for inter-service communication is Kafka (Amazon MSK). Logging and system metrics use Elasticsearch and Prometheus.
with visualization through Kibana and Grafana. We also use Amazon Lambda with JavaScript..
Services run in Docker containers on AWS. We also use Aerospike as a NoSQL store for intermediate data.

Responsibilities:

— Implement important product functionality;
— Design new technical initiatives and solutions within the project team;
— Continuously improve code quality;
— Monitor and reduce technical debt;
— Collaborate with all team members;
— Work with IT engineers to maintain the product’s technical infrastructure.
 

Important for this role:

— Write high-quality C# using .NET Core and ASP.NET Core, with OOP, SOLID and design-pattern knowledge;
— Expertise across the .NET ecosystem, including tools, libraries and frameworks;
— RDBMS/NoSQL experience, understanding of storage engines, query profiling and index behavior;
— Message-broker experience and understanding of operating characteristics and usage patterns;
— Support for DevOps practices and experience automating development, quality assurance, monitoring, tracing and debugging;
— Code and query profiling, debugging and optimization skills;
— Unit-test writing experience and an understanding of when testing is appropriate;
— A strong commitment to code review and promoting it within the team;
— Motivation to improve existing solutions and implementation approaches;
 

Would be a plus:

— Experience exploring framework internals to deepen your knowledge;
— Data structure and algorithm knowledge, including the difference between O(1) and O(n);
— Understanding of AMQP and Kafka differences, advantages and limitations;
— Kafka, MongoDB, Swagger, Prometheus, Elasticsearch and PostgreSQL experience;
— Cloud experience, particularly AWS.
