Scala Engineer
Scala Engineer for an outsourcing engagement with our client, 20–40 hours/week.
The client’s mandatory requirements:
- At least three years professional experience with Scala or a functional language like Clojure and Haskell.
- Built and worked already on distributed and big data systems, ideally streaming architectures.
- Diverse technology knowledge and a sense of curiosity combined with strong problem solving skills.
Technologies used on the project:
- Scala and CoffeeScript
- Akka, Akka-Stream, Akka-Cluster, Spray
- MongoDB and ElasticSearch
The client has not yet set a final deadline, but this is a long-term project lasting at least 6–8 months. The confirmed workload is full-time, Monday to Friday, 9–18 GMT+2. This is an existing client project. If the client approves the candidate, work can start immediately.
About the project An automated business-management platform that identifies potential and existing problems faster, analyzes them and suggests solutions. It also accelerates business processes and integrates with systems such as Jira and Salesforce.
English At least Upper-intermediate, B2.
No rate limit has been set, as the priority is finding a strong specialist.
The client usually responds the next day, although reviewing a CV can take 3–4 days.
